Copper Lotta Kalash

Storing water in copper utensils was a traditional practice that has been replaced these days with plastic water cans. Water storage utensils made from copper are your best bet to stay healthy and protected. When water is stored in a copper vessel, over a period of time copper particles mix with the water. This copper infused water is said to protect the body from common infections by balancing out the three energies of the body - Vatha, Pitta and Kapha. Water stored overnight in a copper vessel gets purified by the copper, which kills all the germs and bacteria present in it.

The Copper Lotta Kalash is a miniature copper pot with 500ml capacity. It can serve two functions. You can store a small amount of water in this rustic looking pot and keep it handy on your side table. This little pot is also a wonderful addition to your pooja accessories. The Copper Lotta Kalash can be used in your pooja room to hold liquid offerings made to God, such as water or milk. However, consuming milk stored in a copper utensil is not advisable. Discard and refill.

Copper utensils used to store water need to be washed at least once in 48 hours. It is important to note that copper utensils must be used only to store water or unprocessed dry foods such as dry fruits, nuts or sugar.
